In just 24 hours, over 2 million dollars were donated to the Veronica Mars project. This was more than Thomas needed and he plans to start shooting the film in the near future.4[C] Over 10% of the films at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012 were Kickstarter films and, in 2013, three Kickstarter films were nominated for Academy Awards. It's clear that Kickstarter is changing the way films are made forever.
