Dear Mr Brown,

I am writing to apologise for the unpleasant incident that I started in your last class on Friday when I put Jack Lipton's school bag in the bin.

I feel ashamed of my behaviour and would like to say how sorry I am for the embarrassment I caused to my classmate. It was also unacceptable for me to take so much of your time.

There is obviously no excuse for what I did but I would like to say that Friday was a particularly hard day for me and I suppose the incident was caused by the stress I had had during the day.

I have already apologised to Jack but I am ready to repeat that in front of the class if you wish.

I hope the incident will not cause any tension between us and the atmosphere in the classroom will come back to normal.

Please accept my apology once again.
