New figures show 3.04 million unemployed

Poland's unemployment ratewskaźnik bezrobocia in July was 18.8%-sadly the highest among all 25 EU member states, according to a report by the Eurostat statistics office.

The rate was the same as in June and it was down only 0.1 % from May.

Next in line were Slovakia (15.9%), Lithuania (11,3%) and Spain (11.0%). The lowest figures for the month were reported in Austria (4.2%), Luxembourg (4.3%), as well as in Ireland and Cyprus (4.5% each), Eurostat reported.
