Nauka do CPE

W sesji letniej zdałem CAE. Teraz moim celem stał się CPE. Nie wyznaczam sobie dokładnej daty - może rok, może 1,5. Postanowiłem zorganizować naukę, wybrać książki, materiały, sposoby - jednak nie pod kątem samego egzaminu, bo do pozycji poświęconych głównie CPE oraz do past papers chcę przejść później.

Postanowiłem skupić się obecnie na słownictwie, grama wsio. Mam zamiar uczyć się z podręczników Kembridża z serii In Use (Advanced Vocabulary i Collocations). Plus, oczywiście czytanie książki i słuchanie podkastów.

Mam kilka pytania do tych, którzy zdali lub zamierzają zdać CPE.

Czy macie zeszyt ze słówkami? Jeśli tak, to jak go organizujecie?
Jak uczycie się słownictwa? Jak je powtarzacie? Macie systemy powtórek?

Od kilku dni przeglądam forum i widzę, że wiele osób korzysta z programów typu PH czy SM do nauki słówek. Kieeedyś daaaaawno kupiłem program supermemo. Totalna porażka, interfejs ble, strasznie demotywujący sposób nauki.
Mimo tego, od roku używam bardzo prostego programu (nie polskiego) typu flashcards - dodajesz słówka i sam sobie wyznaczasz powtórki. Jednak takie wklepywanie słówek jest dość męczące.
Mimo sceptycyzmu poczytałem o Profesorze Henrym (słownictwo), ściągnąłem demo i muszę przyznać że... hmmm... nie wiem.

Tutaj kolejne pytania - czy przygotowujecie/przygotowywaliście się do CPE, korzystając z takich programów? Co w ogóle o nich myślicie? Warto zawracać sobie nimi głowę? Czy połączenie podręczników In Use i np. Profesora Henry’ego to dobre rozwiązanie, czy lepiej odpuścić sobie serwowanie kolejnych godzin przed kompem?

When I was learning towards CPE I had a copy-book with words that I found useful and/or sophisticated. Some of them were organised one below the other but the most efficient and helpful way of arranging them were mind maps. Surely you'll find some information about them on the Internet by typing "Tony Buzan mind maps". Tony also invented a review system which you might find interesting. I am rather resentful if it comes to learning with PC. I cannot concentrate and it gives poor results. To my mind, this depends on a particular person thus it may not concern you.

Mój sposób na słówka to 3-4 dziennie wpisywane w mały notatnik noszony zawsze przy sobie. Przygotowując się do CPE dużo czytałam na każdy temat, słuchałam tylko angielskiego radia i oglądałam tylko anglojęzyczną telewizję. Osłuchujesz się w ten sposób z językiem, formami gramatycznymi, idiomami i zawsze coś zapamiętasz.
Komputera bardzo nie używałam (jedynie strony przesyłające ciekawe słówka i idiomy na adres mail np. doctordictionary.com).

When it comes to vast vocabulary command a THESAURUS is of utmost importance.
For every word there are synonyms and antonyms that may come in handy.
It is effective , I think, to juxtapose close synonyms and be able to distinguish them is the key as CPE is all about semantic precision.

Another trick is to use thesaurus as a dictionary - simply finding meaning of new vocabulary items by juxtaposing them with those "already known".

Still another is to prepare sets of words of similar yet different meaning and review them from time to time emphasising their differences (as a by-product of it we will remember them better)

e.g. EVICT, DEPOSE, EXPEL, DISCARD.
BLURRED, DISTORTED, WARPED, SMUDGED
