Hi! I'm not from Poznań but I was considering starting playing chess. Is it true that you have to be good at maths to play chess?

I think it's true. I used to play chess and I used to like math. When I stopped playing chess I started to dislike math :)

I can't agree;) Although I loathe maths, I'm keen on playing chess.
What does this awful subject have to do with playing chess? Why does a good player have to be adept at maths as well?
