How to achieve success

Temat przeniesiony do archwium.
What do you think, which features are essential for people who want to achieve success (I guess that everybody wants to do it)? Maybe in your opinion these quiet, reliable ones deserve for it? Or these ambitious and determined who aim their goal at all costs and do everything to succeed?
It depends on our personality, for example I think that it's well when sb's quiet and works efficiently without boasting; but if you want to be the best, you should show what you can, shouldn't you?
I'm waiting for your opinions.
There is boasting and then there is boasting. In order to achieve success (and we are talking here about success at work, correct?) you have to sell yourself. You have to let the employer know what your unique skills and talents are. Talking how good you are at something and what you have achieved up to now is not necessarily boasting. It all depends on how you present yourself and how you come across as a person.

To be successful in anything, not just at work, you have to have confidence in yourself and your abilities and you have to believe you can do anything. Persistence is the key. And hard work of course.

It is also very important to set goals for yourself. You have to know what it is exactly what you want, i.e. you have to define "success" for yourself. Is it being rich? Or is it doing what you enjoy to do? Or maybe both? Or maybe something entirely different. It doesn't matter what it is as long as you know what it is. Once you know what your goals are you make a plan to achieve your dreams. In other words you have to figure out how to get to where you want to be. Step by step. Nothing will happen overnight.

Success: To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is very interesting, Freddie:)
It seems that success isn't pleasant issue, but ocean of hard work, where is only a drop of satisfaction;)
Once I read the maxim: "The more you know, the more you want to know".
I think that it is connencted with methods "for achieving success".
And it relates to well-known, Polish tag "Apetyt rośnie w miarę jedzenia" ;)
NICE, VERY NICE I AGREE WITH ALMOST EACH OF THESE SENTENCES, AND I WOULD LIKE TO ADD ONE MORE:

--------- THE BEST WAY TO SUCCEED IS TO CHANGE FOR THE BETTER ---------

AVERAGE PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF CHANGES, WHICH IS NOT THE BEST WAY TO IMPROVE THEIR LIFES, JUST CAUSE, YOU CANNOT AVOID CHANGES PERMANENTLY, YOU SHOULD GET USE TO IT !! :)
(I RECOMMEND - "KTO ZABRAŁ MÓJ SER?" JOHNSON)
Should that not be - 'Who moved my cheese?'
'Success is achieving a stress-free, peaceful, enjoyable life and still being young enough to enjoy it.'
I'll chime in: (these are some quotes of people who actually suceed)
'Knowing is not enough, you must apply; willing is not enough, you must do.' Bruce Lee
„I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying” Michael Jordan

„I don't do things half-heartedly. Because I know if I do, then I can expect half-hearted results."

"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it."

„I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. „

„My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength.„ all of them - Michael Jordan

I'm a great believer in luck, and
I find the harder I work the more I have of it. Thomas Jefferson
