As far as I know, the word "contra" isn't used in such a meaning. I'd say: versus

Bridget Jones is great:)

The first one, of course. "Bridget Jones's Diary" is one of the least funny comedies I've seen in my life.

Don't you like this kind of humour? Don't you find associations between BJ's life and yours? I do, at least in some areas ...:-)
I both read books & saw adaptations.

I like Ally McBeal as well. amusing, beautiful faces & clothes, nice music. Still 'Bridget' is something I can associate myself with, down to earth problems every thirty-something has, no matter rich or poor. After watching 'Ally' I have this feeling of living a totally different life. Unfortunately ...

I don't know. I don’t find it funny, that's all. My sense of humor (which hopefully exists...) is not "responsive to it" ;). But it's only my personal opinion, of course.

Yeap... It’s very strange, I know :) Most women/girls I know think it’s a wonderful comedy. And I was really, really bored. I love Ally. She’s really great. :)
And when it comes to comedies, I adore Monty Python :)
