FruitS ?

Hi.

I have another grammar issue.

As far as I know, the plural form of fruit is fruit. Why do I sometimes encounter this word with an "s" at the end? I mean FRUITS ?

I've seen a game for children that was called : " fruits and vegetables"

Does anyone know the answer to my problem?
Mysle, ze wiele osob zna na to odpowiedz ;-)

Fruits uzywasz kiedy mowisz o roznych rodzajach owocow....
Could you give me some examples?
"All fruit is equal but some fruits are more equal than others "
Still don't get it :/

How many fruits did you eat today?
Fruits is an American plural version of 'fruit'.
And British too :)
We say fruit when we talk about the whole group. When we think only about some fruits, about small part of fruit, we can say fruits.
