SOLITUDE:(

I just wanted to write that few days before ST. Valentine's Day I've found out that my beloved do not love me...

"so be careful WARNING!!! FRAGILE HEART"
: ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((
"Solitude was never.. never seen as loneliness
And things need.. they need time
And time leads to other things
And playing roles
Which are limited
By the poor fund of knowledge
In this sick, sick world
We all fall down
Once in a while
Escaping the law of the unexplained pains"

not that it is to help, but it's a very nice song that came to my mind straightaway.
take care, dude.
... everybody hurts
and everybody cries...
".......sometimes............."
but solitutde might be creative and sane, the worst thing is to be afraid....
Hey Fuki,
don;t worry. If your partner has dumped you or hurt you so that you've dumped him/her, that's what was meant to be, and s/he simply did't deserve you. Maybe this attempt at comforting you sounds like a cliche, or downright a piece of shit, but c'mon! Life goes on, and there's no use cring over one stupid moron. Look on the bright side! NOw you can enjoy life, et to know plenty of interesting poeple without anyone being unnecessarily jealous...

As for the St, Valentine's , just don't celebrate it. it's onMOnday this year as far as i remember, so there's little chance that you;re gonna feel overwhlemed by this romantic-kitsch atmosphere.

So, don;t worry, be happy, Hakuna Matata (still under influence of bridget JOnes i've recently read, BTW I recommend this book to cheer yourself up a bit)

Rgds,
KOciamama.
Fuki, my favourite Polish GG friend!!!! Do not worry!!! Come to England!!! (here the life is easier....;)
Evertything will be fine... And answer to my mail!!!
Many thanks,
magdalene, madlen or whatever you want.... - York St John College student
>one stupid moron
>s/he simply did't deserve you.

a classic - dumping on people (women on man mostly) whose only 'fault' is not loving us back. What is a poor and 'unloving' guy to do? Is love at his beck and call? Can he make himself love? And, does 'love' have anything to do with 'deserve'?

> but c'mon! Life goes on,

and things are in the saddle and ride mankind (Emerson). Fuk 'em.
If you're a guy just go to the nearest brothel and have some fun:) Don't cry over the spilt milk! There are many wonderful women out there just waiting for you!
Well, that's partly just a figure of speech to say sb doesn't deserve us, and partly it is just the case.

Do you suggest considering and reconsidering the negative things we;ve experienced? I guess, there's no use cherishing poignant memories, and we'd better concentrate on the positive ones.

Of course we can't blame anybody for not loving us back, but my point is we should't repeatedly make attmepts at changing the situation but just let it go and be open to new poeple.

BTW why do you suggest it's usually the guy who dumps his girlfriend? I knwow basically the reverse situation.

Rgds,
Kociamama.
>we'd better concentrate on the positive ones...
>just let it go..
my point exactly. So, why 'the stupid moron' then?
'God grant me the serenity to ACCEPT the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.'

>>BTW why do you suggest it's usually the guy who dumps his girlfriend?
I don't. I merely observe that regardless of who dumps whom, it's usually the women who do the blaming.

>I knwow basically the reverse situation

Fear is an insidious virus. Given
a breeding place in our minds...
it will eat away our spirit and
block the forward path of our endeavors. --James F. Bell

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of
fear - not absence of fear. --Mark Twain

RISK

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out for another is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk
their loss.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.

But, risks must be taken, because
The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, has nothing,
is nothing, does nothing.
They may avoid suffering and sorrow,
but simply cannot grow, love... Live!
Chained by attitudes, we become slaves,
forfeit freedom.
Only the person who takes risks is Free. --Unknown

ACTIONS

Be sincere and true to your word, serious and
careful in your actions; and you will get along
even among barbarians. But if you are not
sincere and trustworthy in your speech,
frivolous and careless in your actions, how
will you get along even among your own
neighbors? When you stand, see these principles
in front of you; in your carriage see them on
the yoke. Then you may be sure to get along. --Confucius

When you get in a tight place and everything goes

BEING

Your life emphasis should not be possessing but on becoming.
You should concentrate not on how you can have more, but on
how you can be more. The greatest power is your power to be.
To be more loving. To be more courageous. To be more joyous.
To be more friendly. To be more sensitive. To be more aware.
To be more forgiving. To be more tolerant. To be more humble.
To be more patient. To be more helpful........... To be a
greater human being. --WILFERD A. PETERSON

We are taught you must blame your father, your sisters, your
brothers, the school, the teachers - you can blame anyone but
never blame yourself. It's never your fault. But it's always
your fault, because if you wanted to change, you're the one
who has got to change. It's as simple as that, isn't it? --Katherine Hepburn

Instead of being aggressive toward a difficulty, be
quiet before it, and notice the new feeling. --Vernon Howard

Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would
but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly.
Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away
from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves
to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty, painful,
evil, can become a source of beauty, joy and strength,
if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden
one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such. --Henry Miller

A CONTRARY VIEW

I don't see what you see
in shades of black and white.
You don't see what I see
in endless hues of light.

I see nature dancing;
you see rocks and trees.
I see winds a-changing;
you see a dangerous breeze.

I see a radiant face;
you see the wrinkles it bears.
I see a soul at play;
you see the body it wears.

I see neighbors gathered;
you see a block in your view.
I see a one-world family;
you see a chosen few.

I see beauty within myself
and beauty inside of you.
I pray one day you'll close your eyes
and see that beauty too.

conspires to make it happen. --Ralph Waldo Emerson

The most important thing about a man is what he believes

drive. --Hugh Stevenson Tigner

Sooner or later we all discover that the important
moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the

They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs
that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave. Our
lives are measured by these. --Susan B. Anthony

Your morning thoughts may determine your conduct
for the day. Optimistic thoughts will make your

There is no such thing as can't, only won't. If you're
qualified, all it takes is a burning desire to accomplish,

Many risks fail because they were not taken in time.

A SMILE COSTS NOTHING, but gives much. It enriches those who
receive, without making poorer those who give. It takes but
a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None
is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and
none is so poor but he can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in
business, and is the countersign of friendship. It brings
rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to
the sad, and it is natures' best antidote for trouble. Yet
it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed or stolen, for it is
something that it is of no value to anyone until it is given
away. --Anonymous
