My love don\'t cost a thing ! (J.Lo. ;) )

I have such a question ...
Should I use \"love\" as a noun in plural form ?
Why the title of a quite famous song is written like this ?
Can anyone make this understandable to me ? ;)

Ponieważ Anglicy i Amerykanie nie znają gramatyki własnego języka.

It\'s not about plural form of that noun - the noun ISsingular - but the form of the verb isn\'t correct.
Sometimes they just forget about basic rules ;) and they say \"don\'t\" when they should say \"doesn\'t\"

Kiedy mamy jakies znaczenie metaforyczne, to b. czesto Anglicy uzywaja innych osob. Np. Madonna spiewa \"love is a bird, SHE needs to fly\". Normalnie love jest it, jednak w poezji, a taka sa poniekad teksty piosenek jest to bardzo zmienne. Po polsku zreszta tez w wierszach jest wiele rzeczy nieodpowiadajacych zasadom normalnej poprawnej polszczyzny.
