Obowiązkowy i nieobowiązkowy zaimek względny

Witam,
uczę się angielskiego i mam problem z jednym zdaniem, konkretnie tym:
"Robert revealed a few details about which David had no idea."

Można w tym przypadku usunąć "which"? Jeżeli można/nie można to dlaczego?

nie mozna, bo tam jest about w srodku zdania
daj about na koniec i wtedy mozesz sobie usuwac which

Nie znalazłem nigdzie zasady, że jeżeli jest about przed zaimkiem względnym to nie wolno go usuwać :/

Nie myślę ze jest jakaś zasada ale są przykłady:
Love is a subject Thomas knows nothing about.
Love is a subject about which Thomas knows nothing. (more formal)

We can put the preposition immediately before the relative pronoun (more formal) or at the end of the relative clause (more informal).
