Developing Positive Habits Is Essential

As a college student, students have to adapt to change by developing positive habits. For that they can reach their goals as easy as it should be. Developing positive habits can improve your success in your career, yet you will face many difficulties while changing your lifestyle, but it will help you deal with your own career building and makes you more responsible about your own achievement.
How to change? First of all, student has to adapt to change, so he or she can reach their goals. For that, the best thing for adaptation is to adapt a long time with respect to your motivation, for example, if you want to go to vacation in the summer, and you still in the being of the winter, so you will decide to save money for the vacation, which it will take a long term. Then what ever goals you wanted to achieve for it successfully write it down, then post it were ever you want that you can read it. Reading it will help you in making reasons why to achieve that goal. Tell yourself that you are doing the best by doing the best you can in your adaptation. It helps by encouraging yourself that you can do better than what you are doing. For the last step for the adaptation know your obstacles, so you can solve them or make a solution.
"Seizing the initiative can make all the difference between winning and loosing."( Thomas Davis III), which means change creates opportunity for people who recognize and seize it. You have to start with small steps one by one; don't change your life style in one day, then you will hate doing it. "Seeing is the first step, seizing the second, and continuously innovating is the third." (Christopher Meyer), here Meyer shows the steps for changing which creates innovation or opportunity. Think positive, you will reach you goal, like if you were in challenge don't worry or you will lose it; put in your mind that you will make it whatever the challenge was, especially if where doing a hard assignment. You need to practice along time, because developing positive habit is not easy as people think.
One of the important thing in developing positive habits is making a schedule, as the writer said that you have to start with step by step, also he said that you have to make a schedule that organize your work; putting them in the head is not enough, while writing a schedule help you and encourages you to develop you habits as the plan you write it in the schedule. Finally, measure your progress and report it; it is really important to measure your progress, which it allows to see that you are actually improving in your career.
Overcome resistors to making changes :
There is no doubt that changing is important for our life. Everybody in the world tries to change himself to better. For this reason we are going to show in our project the importance of changing in our life and the causes of it, why people resist the change, and how can we change our self.
A lot of people have fear of change in a large scale such as the volunteer nonprofit organizations we participate in, in business, and in society in general. Changing is a fact and a real thing which is take place in our life. For example, you can encounter the changes which is happen in our life such as in the university that you study in, in the place that you work in, in the markets and in the malls that you go shopping at it, and in the schools that your relative or your friends study in.
Many things in our life can be good or bad such as changing. Usually, changes make a positive progress in our life if we make it in the right way. But some times, it can also be counterproductive if we make it in the wrong way. Change is a human problem not a technical problem as some people believe.
There are many reasons for the change, but according to Bryce there are three mean reasons for the change which is :
(1)- Political/Government influences: when government change or make new rules, regulations and laws.
(2)- Cultural influences: like changes which are as a result of fashion, customs, society, religion, language, physical environment, and advanced things like mobiles and computers.
(3)- Competitive/Economic Influences: competitive influences make you try to be better than someone so you have to change. Economic influences make you try to have better economically situation to raise your life level or to have better life for you and for your family. (Bryce, 2005)
Changes in our life are in three degrees which is Radical, moderate and subtle. We will explain each degree alone. Firstly, we are going to talk about subtle change which is a kind of change which is not clear for another people because it is simple changes. For instance, when you come to the university or to the work place with a new hair style or a new dress code. This changes is not clear because it is repeated daily. Secondly, we will talk about moderate change which is a kind of change which is not completely change, but great ones such as changing our policies and changing our material which is affecting in our life. Finally, we will speak about radical change which is a completely change such as changing our religion, marriage and divorce.
Now we are going to show why people resist the changes. There are a lot of factors that make the people resist the changes like:
People are creature of habit.
People resist the change when the reason of the change is not necessary, when it is not clear or when it is unknown.
People feel connected to other people who are still in the old ways.
People believe that the changes are bad ideas.
People resist the change when the benefits of making the change are not good enough.
Change your habits by changing your attitude:
There is a big different between the respecting of school and the university. And maybe the respecting of school can be non militant. There are some respecting token from school and been did in the university like cheating, attendants, unrespecting the rules, respecting other. For changing some habits we should change our attitude by changing our habits:
Cheating: "Some kids cheat because they're busy or lazy and they want to get good grades without spending the time studying". But when we disagree undergraduate everything has been warning us of the seriousness of cheating at the university and if caught you and you cheat at the university will be dismissed from the university. And I knew the disadvantages of cheating , and I started to learn my all subjects and depends on myself , so I can leave that bad habit.
Attendants: Before in school days, we used to love being absent and no one used to ask us why we were absent but know in the university if more than 7 lectures unseen, will get deprivation of material and I heard from my friend that there was a boy who had got deprivation of material because he was unseen for more than 7 lectures , so we had realized that is a bad habit and it also can cause a problem like getting bad marks in examinations and also having problems with teachers and the ministry of the university and this is the thing which made me enrolled of schedule attendance.
Unrespecting the rules of the college: Any place has a rule or more and the university also has much rules everyone should respect the rules of the university like smoking in allocated places. Because not all the students in the university smoke some doesn’t like the smell of it [smoke] that’s why we should respect the students and the rules and if want to smoke only in the allocated places for smoking.
Throwing litters also in there allocated places [dustbin].the university taught us that throwing litters is also a bad habit and throwing litters are not from Islam. Also we are not suppose to throw the rest of the food in the bin.
Respecting others :
Before during school days we used not to respect the teachers like not completing our work and homework's and sometimes teacher gives us projects or charts to do, we used not participate in all those things and care and just say (so what) ,no matter student or teacher, now were in university we have doctors so we always respect them and give them the projects , charts , homework's on time and then the doctors check and give marks. Listen to others when they speak.
And we should not speak while someone is speaking [student or doctor]
If we did it, no respect for others will be shown.
Positive attitude : Ways to develop
Attitude is the way we live our lives, the way we look at life with and the way we deal with things. Our attitude can be positive or negative, it depends on how we act or react. With our attitude we can make our lives happy or miserable, be successful or unsuccessful, loved or hated. Positive attitude will attract positive energy around us and can reflect on everything in our lives. However, if we are negative then we attract the negative energy which will definitely lead us to failure.
Negative attitude is like a contagious disease that can affect people around us, as it has been scientifically proven. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid negative people in our lives and get to know positive ones.
If you like to have a positive attitude, there are some ways would help you and we can mention 5 of them:
Hobbies: Life is full of pressure, and one way to be relieved from these pressures is to have hobbies and practice them in our free times. Hobbies could be any kind of sports or any other activity such as sawing, painting, reading, etc.

Career satisfaction: It is very healthy to do the job we like to do and convinced of what we do. Most of us spend their most times at work, and it is very important to love our work and find ourselves in that work we do, otherwise we should change that work and find something we enjoy doing.

Be positive: We have to believe that we are capable of doing everything and achieving what we aim for. Never let the negative feeling concur us no matter how much we suffer or fail to achieve our goals, we have to keep on trying again and again by changing some methods and things will go fine and goals will be achieved.
Have high ego: Everyone of us has his positive and negative points, but we should not look at our negative ones and allow them to put us down. We should highlight our positive ones and take advantage of them to minimize the negative ones. We also should always feel strong and powerful and unbeatable.
Dealing with others: When we are good and positive to other people by giving them complements and encouraging them, it will give a feeling of power that we could make someone happy and gave him a positive feeling.
