STEM education is a teaching approach that combines science, technology, engineering and math. We are going to develop students’ knowledge and skills in the field of Robotics, computer science, math and physics.
This main project aims are to foster inquiring minds, logical reasoning, computational thinking and collaboration skills. We will try to develop students’ skills and ability to solve complex problems in technological world. Fostering students’ curiosity, by giving them demanding tasks, brings better understanding of real, based on technology, world.
We will foster a problem-solving approach that integrates many school subjects across students’ activities and programming as practice of developing a set of instructions that a computer can understand and execute.
This eTwinning project is a part of Erasmus+ cooperation between two institutions. We will work together online before and after the official project meeting.
Some project work will be done during additional classes while the other one during the planned Erasmus+ meetings.
Special tasks including assignments, quizzes, competitions/games and manuals will be prepared for students involved in the project before the meeting.
STEM in Action engages students in authentic, problem-based STEM workshop with enjoyable and competitive elements. Thanks to the international activities students will get to know better and learn how to communicate and do some tasks together.
We are going to use TwinSpace and other online platforms for example OneDrive, Scratch, Tinkercad. Results of the project are expected in a form of presentations, documents, scripts, videos, stl or obj files.
Through various activities we will teach students dependencies among existing parts of the VeX Robotics .
The engineering design process will be at the centre of exploration - teaching the value of rethinking and supporting different effective solutions. Learning by doing and learning by experimenting will be the main method of exploring the new world. These planned activities allow us to support creativity, team work and responsibility for the work.
