We had not been able to convence them that we had right and in result we wouldn't go at this trip.
6. W czasie gdy moja mama przygotowywała sniadanie ja pomagałem ojcu w ogrodzie.
While my mother was preparing breakfast I was helping my father in the garden.

How long had you lived there, before you moved to London?

I wanted to know how long have you been here.
12. Byłam tam cztery razy do konca ubieglego roku.
I have been here four times since end of last year.
