When Cristoforo Colombo wanted to find a new way to India he arrived to America and he called people from there Indians. But American Indians and real Hindustanians are very different. Name is the only thing which connects them.
In our culture we used to mix West countries and cultures. For example we think that snake charming is an Indian idea. That is not true, even though it’s very popular there. First snake charmers were Egyptians, no Indians.
We also think, that people in India loves music and dance. That is right. If we watch any Bollywood film, we will note, that about one hour takes music and dance. Indian people like singing and dancing even if they can’t, what is unusual. I can add that Gypsies comes from India. Group of people leaved their country about thousand years ago and started they journey around the world. Now theirs culture are not so similar, but they are still connected by loving music and dancing.
Indian people are also very religious and strict, but we often imagines a drastically rituals like sati, when widow had to be burned with body of her husband. Today Indians still decide about theirs children marriages and child doesn’t have any freedom before marriage, but there is a lot of modern families who lets their children decide. Anyway girls often check how rich and educated is a boy, before they chose him.
