The style which I chose to describe came from Jamaica and it
is probably the most popular style in Poland in the last few years.
I'm talking about Rasta style which is typical for people who belong to the Rastafari movement. It's a religious movement but for the adherents it's also the way of life so the membership isn't obligatory for everyone who wants to be Rasta.
The Rastafarians have got their own style. They usually wear baggy trousers and clothes in three colours: red, yellow and green. They usually wear dreadlock and characteristic symbols like a lion and green leaves. We can also identify them after three-colour caps and badges on the clothes.
Music has long played a big role in Rastafari.
The members of this group listen a special kind of music called reggae. It has become well known all over the world, due to Bob Marley, the forerunner of reggae.
The most popular Polish reagge musicians are: Dreadsquad, EastWest Rockers, Vavamuffin, Ras Luta.
The Rastaman typically spend their free time on concerts and festivals or just hanging around. They are always happy and they have positive attitude towards the life. Rasta style promotes joy, friendship and peace.
