The word "brykiecik" is a diminutive of "brykiet". It means "small brykiet".

I've no idea what "brykiet" is.

My first thought was "briquette", especially because of the request for a French translation as well. I am be totally out to lunch here and suffering from the euphoria of summer, outdoor BBQs and coolers on the patio. :)

School's out - thank God! When are your kids going back? Our genius Board decided that school will start on Sep 1, but they'll give the kids Friday off for the extra long Labour Day weekend AND those three days the first week of Sep are mandatory, but in reality optional. Go figure!

I'm in K-W/Cambridge quite often (I have a couple of clients there), perhaps I can drop in for lunch/coffee one of these days.

I certainly hope school doesn't resume until after Labour Day. I'm in Poland for 12 days beginning the end of August and actually return on Labour Day. My husband will not be happy with me, if he has to manage the first week of school without me.
