Discovering Europe, I could not underestimate the importance of English language. During my Bachelor in Applied Contemporary Letters I could extend my linguistic abilities. The lectures on American culture were given entirely in English. At tutorials I mainly practiced English-French translations. The comparative letters courses focused on translations from Middle English to contemporary French.
Last year, I decided to continue my studies at Sorbonne-Nouvelle Paris 3, which offers a high level formation in languages. The Bachelor in European Studies which I am preparing this year allows me to improve my language skills while focusing on European Union.
I also improved my English skills by linguistic summer stays in New York (2010) and Liverpool (2011). During my stay in New York, from 4 July to 28 August 2010, I completed 160 hours of Business English and an internship in an event planner company, Event Premiere (from July 19 to August 13). Working as an assistant, I accomplished different tasks as tour planning, Internet research, reception of clients and general office support. On March 2011 I took TOEFL internet-based test and obtained 94 points (reading 25, listening 24, speaking 23, writing 22). On summer 2011, I decided to continue improving my English skills by a one month long linguistic stay in Liverpool. I effected 96 hours of English in advanced level.
