"I hate PO!" ?? czy raczej "I hate the PO!"?? Dzięki za pomoc.
PO to polski skrot? Nie zrozumieją.
I hate THE PO jak odnosi sie do specificznej partii.

Nie zgadzam się. Ja bym powiedział "I hate PO" lub "I hate the PO party".
W Uk, PO znaczy Post office - i mowimy I hate the Post Office.
Wiem, ale sytuacja nie jest tak prosta. "I hate the BBC" ale "I hate IBM". "I hate B&Q" ale "I hate the USA". "I hate XML" ale "I hate the USSR" "I hate BMW" ale "I hate the UK", "I hate MI5" ale "I hate the IRA" .... nie wiem, na czym to polega, ale musi być "I hate PO" bo inaczej "I hate the PO" rzeczywiście oznacza "I hate the post office". "I hate PO" wyklucza post office.

International Business Machines ale the United Kingdom

Did you stay in Britain for good and all?, or, perchance...
Pay us a visit more often, that'II be nice.
I will do my best to help out where I think I can be useful and not confusing, but to be honest the quality of help on these forums (or fora, if you prefer) is EXCEPTIONALLY high! In particular, Terri and mg are incredibly helpful and selfless in offering their help, However, in this particular case I thought I could quickly help - it got out of control very quickly though :) In fact, I feel a little guilty about pitching in with my answer because it wasn't my intention to say anybody was wrong but rather that X was better.
As for the UK, I was born and lived in the UK for many, many years but I moved to Poland when I got married (yes, a Polish wife!). I still have very strong ties with the UK (I have a large family in the UK) and now my sons are either studying in the UK or planning to study there.
I will do my best to help anybody who needs the help of a native speaker - for what it's worth! I am not a linguist :) Ask Terri or mg (and others) for an explanation of the grammar but I can give advice on usage or style.

It's fab we, students (and learners), have got another role model to follow, and our 'forum leaders' have got another fellow (If I can say that) of equal rank.

You know grammar better than me because you had to learn it properly - I never had to :)

That is very idiomatic Polish. Congrats!
It's a shame I can't quote a Polish equivalent of Gilbert & Sullivan back to you :(
I wonder is there is one....
do you know this?
Pewnie, że znam - ulubieniec mojej żony :)
Respect!

This wasn't a criterion I based on here.
