2) I had played football since I was a kid- czy to jest ok i poprotu pokazujr że teraz już nie gram czy trzeba jeszcze coś dodać żeby pokazać do jakiego momentu grałem npm I had played football since I was a kid and when I broke my leg I stopped

2 past perfect nie ma tu sensu, bo w zdaniu musialby byc punkt odniesienia w simple past, a tu go nie ma.

2) wiadomo że z perfect nie używamy zwrotów typu yesterday last week czy when I was in Germany. Co z bardzo ogólnymi np in the past, back in the/my day?

1. Past perfect wymaga istnienia obok w tekście punktu odniesienia w Simple Past, tzn. wyraża czynność wcześniejszą niż ten punkt odniesienia.

Może być tutaj perfect bo określenie czasu "when I didn't have enough money" odnosi się do "stop" a nie do "have been attending"?
