present continuous - spontanous decisions.

The police are chasing a guy wanted for a murder. A police officer pulls out a gun and shouts : " You are not getting away !"

Why is present continuous used here?:>

Bo rzecz dzieje sie wlasnie w tej chwili. W polskim by sie tu pewnie uzylo czasu przyszlego, bo "ja nic nie podpisuje" dziwacznie by brzmialo.
