What is the most important subject at your school?

Which is the most important school subject and why? (speaking task)

It is rather difficult to select one school subject and say that this one is the most important. However, I think that physical education is one of the most important school subjects. It keeps the body fit and lets students get some fresh air and after physical effort they are more likely to acquire knowledge.

I don’t mean that PE ought to be the only subject at school. Mathematical skills are needed on the job market so I would also place math on the top.

All in all, I think that students should have an opportunity to chose subjects that they are most interested in. Some of them may have a flair for music whilst other one for math. However, the basic knowledge of the most common subjects should be lectured at school.

To sum up, personal preferences should determine the subject and students shouldn’t be forced to study subjects they are not interested in as it makes they get bored. There should be many subjects on the school curriculum - and most of them should be free to choose.

I don't mean to be biased and only speak in favour of science. Take history for instance: if you graduate in history your chance of finding a job is less then satisfactory. On the other hand, studying history broadens horizons and gives better understanding of the world around and its past.

tłum: większość z nich powinna być wolna w kwestii wyboru.
Tak samo jest np. z 'this program is free to download and use'

Bo 'choose' jest czasownikiem przchodnim i nieprzechodnim. Powstaje dwuznacznosc. Trzeba zrobic jak napisala terii lub ewentualnie wprowadzic 'for students' to choose. Passive jest lepszy tutaj.
