I think that punishments should be harsher, and fines for shoplifting should increase. Nowadays, fines that are issued for shoplifting are not enough and they don't actually discourage potential shoplifters from stealing.
If the fines were to be higher, shoplifters would think twice before committing such a petty crime. When a juvenile offender commits a crime, his or her school should also know about it, so that the teachers can take proper steps and hold regular discussions/ hold a discussion about such crimes,to ensure other pupils' behaviour is appropriate.
2. break the speed limit when driving
Again, I think that the law should be much harsher than it is. This is because people who break speed limits are a serious threat to others . Therefore I believe that higher fines for such traffic offences should be introduced. I also think that the reoffenders should be banned from driving or at least be made to take the examination again. Perhaps traffic recidivists should be imprisoned.
3. leave restaurant without paying the bill
They should pay three times as much as the price of the meal – this type of punishment would be severe enough and it'll make them think twice before leaving a restaurant again without paying the bill.
I don’t think that making such a person do the dishes after a day shift would be a good idea, because they would probably break and shatter all the plates – this would only double the loss(mozna tez uzyc costs) for the restaurant’s owner.
