European Parliament Guidelines
While you are in Brussels, we are planning an afternoon of meetings for you with Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). A full briefing covering the background of the MEPs you will meet, message points and lobbying tips will be given during our warm up and speeches session that morning. The following information is offered to help you prepare for your trip to Brussels.
Dress Code
Brussels is quite formal regarding work attire. Whilst the dress code in the European Parliament may very as a reflection of the political spectrum, it is usual for an event of this type that business representatives dress in conventional business attire (for men this ranges from suit and tie to trousers and blazer). Most people with whom we meet will be dressed in a conventional business suit, shirt and tie.
The weather in February will be at best clear and cold and at worst very wet and chilly. Your hotel is 10 minutes' walk from the European Parliament. You will therefore need to bring a suitable overcoat. Keep in mind that you will be doing a lot of walking and comfortable shoes are a must. Transportation will be provided to and from the Parliament.
