Do the English speak through the nose?

Temat przeniesiony do archwium.
I have an impression that the English speak through they noses. What is more, they put a lot of effort when they speak. What do you think about it? Maybe I`m wrong...I don`t know, it`s only my impression. ;)
* their noses (sorry)
no, not through their noses. Generally, they put two small plums in their mouth, clench their teeth, (never open their mouths) and then talk.
Try it.
I get the same impression when I .................................. listen to my friend speaking English! He's really really fond of the Mancunian accent. The more he tries to imitate the accent the more 'nasal' he gets and, consequently, makes it really hard (if not impossible at times) for people around him to get what he's talking about... Once he confessed to me that he did it on purpose so that people would consider him as a native speaker... I still like him anyway... ;)
