Is it possible to say "what do you see in this room" instead of "what can you see in this room"? If yes, is there any difference in meaning? Maybe one sentence is Br while the other is Am? Please, help me.
Both are correct. I was going to say that it's got nothing to do with British or American, but I checked in Swan's bible and apparently "can see" is used primarily in British if you are talking about seeing something at the moment of speaking. The same applies to the verb "hear".
