różnica między vengeance a revenge

Mam taką prośbę i zastanawia mnie to jaka jest różnica między tymi dwoma słowami ''revenge a vengeance'' których znaczenie jest niby takie same. Może używa się ich w różnych kontekstach? Nie wiem proszę o odp! :)

They are synonymous indeed with the “vengeance” however, being a bit more formal and propending to having some , say divine transcendental qualities I think.
But I may be wrong of course.
