2. People knew that the expedition reached the South Pole in May.
the expedition was known to reach the South Pole in May

3. Everyone thought that she had made the mistake.
She was thought to have made the mistake.

4. People said that he was employing illegal emigrants.
He was said to have been employing ...

5. Everyone knew that he had had 4 glassess of vodka before he left.

OGOLNIE DOBRZE

4. People said that he was employing illegal emigrants.
He was said to have been employing ... TUTAJ PERFECT NIE JEST POTRZEBNY, BO CZASOWNIK W DRUGIEJ CZESCI ZDANIA NIE WYRAZA CZYNNOSCI WCZESNIEJSZEJ NIZ TEN W PIERWSZEJ. - TO BE EMPLOYING

5. Everyone knew that he had had 4 glassess of vodka before he left.
He was known to have had 3 glassess of vodka before he left.
NO WLASNIE, TUTAJ 'WIEDZIELI', ZE 'WYPIL WCZESNIEJ', STAD JEST PERFECT INFINITIVE.

2. People knew that the expedition reached the South Pole in May.
the expedition was known to reach the South Pole in May
A TU JEST POPRAWNE PRZEKSZTALCENIE, ALE ZDANIE BEZ SENSU
Ludzie wiedzieli, ze ekspedycja dociera do bieguna w maju' - tzn. ze co roku dociera do bieguna w maju!
O wele bardziej logicznie byloby napisac' ze ekspedycja dotarla...' czyli past perfect w zdaniu wyjsciowym i perfect infinitive w transformacji.
