Many parents decide not to send their children to school, but they prefer to teach them at home. What are advantages and disadvantages of homeschooling?
One disadvantage is that children have not good contact with their peers. They do not talking with them on breaks and after school. A child may feels insular and lonely. Moreover a school teach how we should do in hard situations. Parents usually protect their children from problems so they are less self-dependent than children who goes to ordinary school. In addiction, when parents decide to teach their children at home they must spend all of their free time for their little pupils. Usually they can not continue their career. Furthermore they often have not enough knowledge to teach. They are not specialists, like teachers in school.
On the other hand, homeschooling has many advantages. In state school a teacher is obliged to thinking about 25 or 30 children When a child is educated at home all attention is focused on him. What is more, a child can better explore and develop one’s interests and abilities. Another advantage is that children have more free time because they have not any homework and a lesson plan is attuned to their needs. Moreover, a parent who is a teacher too became more important person for child, so they are more obedient.
In conclusion, it seems that homeschooling has as many benefits as drawbacks. In my opinion children educated at home have better results in educate but they are less adopted to live in society and overcoming problems.
