More and more families are choosing to educate their children at home. The question of whether, is this a good choice? What are the advantages and disadvantages of teaching at home?
The first thing that needs to be said is that the parents have the opportunity to spend a lot of time with their child. Thereby, this strengthening their familly ties. What is more, parents belived that with an individual approach, their children would have a chance to excel at their best subjects and receive enought help in the weaker areas. Undeniably, it is thrilling to be able to witness and guide your child's development.
On the other hand are also disadvantages of this problem. The main benefit is that learning at home impossible of meeting a new friends and contact with peers. That is important in the future, because they have a fewer problems with communication and actually life. A part from that, the state school teaches not only spesific knowledge in the field of school subject but also perfectly prepares us to a real life. For instance, the school teaches a self- reliance, perseverance or a creativity thinking and teemwork, what we do not always learn at home.
In conclusion, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The state school to develope children's skills much more than they could give parents. School could be an inspiring place and can teach how to be successful and how to be a part of society.
