Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of early retirement.


The human being similarly to other living creatures participate in a process of living which consists of particular stages namely childhood, adulthood and the elderly age. Each of stages has typical characteristics and depends on the age of a man. During elderly age people often retire from work and lead peaceful life beside their spouses. What are the advantages and disadvantages of early retirement?

First of all, people who make a decision to retire create opportunities for younger generation to find the job. Secondly, the elder people receive some sum of money and they do not work instead they can spend their time with families resting and enjoying the life.

On the other hand early retirement has also some disadvantages. Although people who retired are given some money ,this small sum is neither sufficient nor satisfactory in daily life. The elder suffer from various types of diseases such as sclerosis, Alzheimer, diabetes and others and they simply cannot afford on buying basic medicines not mention about paying bills or buying food. Another disadvantage is that they are excluded from professional life. Most of them are not able to find themselves in a new situation being unemployed. Last but not least, retired people do not receive additional help from the government.

All in all, early retirement has more drawbacks than positive aspects. It is hard to decide whether retired people benefit from being retired but what is certain is the fact that everyone will share their fate in a certain point of life.
