Learning foreign languages has many advantages, but also has a contras.
The main advantage is that in the current time of globalization we can communicate with peoples from others countries without intermediaries. It’s much more easier and faster, also sometimes much more cheaper.
If you know foreign languages you can get a great job in an international company, which gives you opportunity to travel. You can also get a knowledge about different cultures in this travels, which may be difficult without languages. As we know, work can be stressful, so if you know an foreign language which isn’t understandable for others – you can swear and no one will know about this  Isn’t nice?
Another advantage –maybe the greatest one – you can read the books and watch movies in original languages, without subtitles, lectors or dubbing.
Finally, learning others languages it’s a great training for our brains, although it takes a lot of time and energy for learning words and grammar. If you planning to learn languages, usually you must pay for it and you can spend a lot of money for it. Last one contra is that even if you know foreign language very well, you can make a ridiculous mistakes.
To sum up, learning foreign languages give us freedom of verbal contact, traveling etc. but it’s a really expensive and time-absorbing occupation.
