Your college is planning a special event for older students, providing advice and information about jobs and further education possibilities. You have been asked to write a proposal for the college proncipal, outlining what should be included in the day, suggesting how it should be organised and giving reasons for your recommendations. Using the feedback from last year’s event and an email from the careers officer on which you have made some notes, write your proposal.

Proposal for collage principal.
I would like to suggest you some improvements in event for older student, which is going to be organized in our collage. I got some feedback from last year participants and I think, that we can enhance that day and make it more interesting and participate worth.
Last year, some people complained about things such as:
• few practical activities
• little information about courses, almost everything was about jobs
• too much information in one day
Taking into consideration all this thing I suggest the following solutions.
First of all, workshops should be run in parallel. When someone is not interested in, they can just change the class and participate in something what they are into.
Secondly, in my view, there should be longer brakes after lectures. Student will be able to ask some questions or get some additional information.
Finally, we should focus on practical workshops. Leaders and lecturers should show as much as possible. Theoretical knowledge can be easily convey by leaflets give out on entry.
To sum up, I would like to ask you to think about my proposals. To encourage students to participate in event we can give them free lunch, if our collage can afford it. That day can change their plans for future and make it better.
