Summary:
Thesis about „Characteristics of Iława Lake District sailing tourism” has the theoretical and empirical character. Its aim is to investigate the current state of Iława Lake District sailing tourism and its importance in relation to tourism product of the region.
The first chapter presents the theoretical foundation of the thesis: the tourism potential of the warmińsko-mazurskie region, nature of sailing tourism and its offer in the Iława Lake District.
The second chapter contains methodological basis of the own research, in which have taken part those people who have experience of sailing in the Iława Lake District. The chapter describes the research objective, problems and hypotheses, and methods and techniques. It also tells about the course of the research and the characteristics of the research sample.
The third chapter presents the results of the empirical survey. It based on students’ preferences in relation to sailing tourism and tourist offer of the region.
The thesis confirmed the hypotheses, which are: sailing tourism in the Iława Lake District is assessed positively by tourists and sailing tourism is one of the main Iława Lake District tourism products.
