At the beginning I would like to say that there is a lot of crimes in our world. We meet it every day. We read about it in newspapers, hear in a radio and TV, we watch films about criminals and violence. But very often crimes are committed near to us in our city, in the neighborhood. And then we are thinking about our safety. But how can a society protect itself from crimes?
When people hear this question they list lot of form of security, but very often they say that should not be their problem, because this is problem for government and public institutions. People pay taxes and for example police should protect our society. But I think that this is bad thinking. Of course good organization in police, municipal police and another institutions is important, but we should also take care about our safety. Patrols and quickly police interventions are insufficient.
Some people say that the best way of protecting from crimes for example from burglary or theft is to have good alarm system or security guard. We can life on a guarded estate. We can also have a bodyguard, but this all is expensive and limit our freedom.
In some films we can see another way of protecting for example in small local society. These are local patrols with police or so-called neighborly guard. Also popular are self-defense curses and guard dogs. Maybe it is good but very complicated.
But think that everyone one of us should be responsible for its safety and property. We should know our neighbors, mind people who we let in our house. We should walk alone after dark. We also should react to violence and crying for help. We cannot be indifferent on crimes. Good alarm system doesn’t replace good and observant people.
And I think that the main solution for us, is teach young people about the most important values in life, take care about kids- they must know that they aren't alone and that they are good. Maybe is the good way to protect our world from crimes.

We read about 'it' (chyba lepiej them) in newspapers, hear (tutaj trzeba ..about them) ON THE radio and TV, we watch films about criminals and violence. But very often crimes are committed near to us in our city, in OUR neighboUrhood. 'And' (lepiej It is only then that) we 'are thinking' (think) about our OWN safety. But how can a society protect itself from crimes?

A problem for THE government and OTHER public institutions.
But I think that this is 'bad thinking'(moze 'only one side of the argument/ badly thought out). Of course good organization in THE police, municipal police and OTHER institutions is important, but we should also take care about our OWN safety. We also should react to violence and crIES for help. We cannot be indifferent TO crimes. A good alarm system doesn't replace good and observant people.
'And' (moze nie zaczynaj zdan z 'and' tutaj lepiej perhaps) I think that the main solution for us, is TO teach young people about the most important values in life, take care OF 'kids' (za kolok- children) and tell them THAT they must
know that they aren't alone and 'that they are good' (chyba for them to be good). Maybe THAT is A good way to protect our world from crimes.
