“The Notebook” – movie review
If you are looking for a moving film, with a lot of romantic scenes “The Notebook” directed by Nick Cassavetes could be a perfect choice. The film version was released June 25, 2004. It starred by: Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams in the major roles. The film offered watch real love, sacrifice and how to makes dreams come true despite hardship.
Set in a modern day nursing home, an elderly man named Noah, begins to read a love story to an elderly woman named Allie, who suffers from Alzheimer's, and who is also really his wife. Before, when the illness had not yet intensified, Allie wrote her love story that she shared with Noah in a notebook, gave it to him, and asked that he read it to her, promising that she will remember when he does. When Noah begins to read the year then goes back to 1940, when he first sees Allie and immediately smitten with her. In the course of time they each other fall in love. However, Allie's parents were against the relationship as Noah is not in their social class and quickly send her away to New York. Then starts their long trip to meet each other and be together. Particularly when several years pass by Allie came to Noah to ensure that she doesn’t love him any more. They have own lives but their feelings still exist…
One thing that I didn’t like was soundtrack. The Songs didn’t fit in to the matches the romantic mood of the story but the acting is excellent and the characters are well chosen.
“The Notebook” is very touching and truly gripping film, telling about love and brittleness of live but in the contrast of other American film doesn’t end happy end. I recommend this film every people who is appreciate emotion called love and is sensitive, cause the film moved even me to tears.
