Witaj,

1. I've changed my mind about buying a new bag because I don't have
>enough money. (afford)
>I CAN'T AFFORD a new bag so I've changed my mind.

>3. I might not be in later, so tke your keys with you. (case)
>Take your keys with you IN CASE I'M NOT in later.

>7. The government have produced some suprising figures on crime.
>(come)
>The government have COME THROUGH WITH some surprising figures on crime.

>8. I wish you would pay more attenion when I'm talking to you.
>(notice)
>I wish you would TAKE MORE NOTICE when I'm talking to you.

>10. Can you get some more coffee because there isn't much left?
>(only)
>Can you get some more coffee because there IS ONLY A LITTLE left?

Pozdrawiam:)
poziom FCE...
co do 7 to może come out with...?
>1. I've changed my mind about buying a new bag because I don't have
>enough money. (afford)
>I {can't AFFORD to buy} a new bag so I've changed my mind.

>2. We don't have any pets because my dad doesn't like animals.(would)
>If my dad {liked animals, we WOULD have} some pets.

>3. I might not be in later, so tke your keys with you. (case)
>Take your keys with you {in CASE I am not} in later.

4. OK
5. OK
6. OK

>7. The government have produced some suprising figures on crime.
>(come)
>The government have {COME out with} some surprising figures on crime.

>8. I wish you would pay more attenion when I'm talking to you.
>(notice)
>I wish you would {take more NOTICE} when I'm talking to you.

>9. How much did you lend to J. yesterday? (borrow)
>How much did {J. BORROW from you} yesterday?

>10. Can you get some more coffee because there isn't much left?
>(only)
>Can you get some more coffee because there {is ONLY a little} left?
witaj ponownie,

tak, w 7. come out with bedzie chyba najodpowiedniejsze.

a w 10. nie powinno byc ...is ONLY LITTLE left? tzn. BEZ "a"?
('have' vs. 'has')
Właśnie engee? Nie powinno byc "little" (mało) zamiast "a little" (trochę)?

7. imho came up with.
a może jednak nie :)) nvm.
>Właśnie engee? Nie powinno byc "little" (mało) zamiast "a little"
>(trochę)?

'only few' czy 'only little' jest uwazane za niekompletne wyrazenie, tym samym jest niepoprawne
>'only few' czy 'only little' jest uwazane za niekompletne wyrazenie,
>tym samym jest niepoprawne

jestes pewny? any reliable source?
the only person that I really trust is my friend, a Canadian English teacher; take it for granted that it is correct - I'm certain she wouldn't have lied to me; I'm sure you've come across many an example of such use, but the fact you've seen those phrases doesn't mean they are correct
