I am writing in connection with the article: "Why TV is bad for us?" in last Monday's newspaper. I have to say I agree with many things that were mentioned by the author.
Frist of all, the author claims that TV encourage us to be lazy. This is a good point. The television is a passive entertainment, so we are just sitting on a sofa, without any ove ( chcialam tu na koncu napisac, ze siedzimy bez jakiegokolwiek ruchu, biernie, tak jest dobrze?).
What is more the article suggests that TV often gives us a trivial version of the news. We are shown something, but we are not given any explention of it.
Next the author says we do not use our brains when we watch TV. That is true. We stop thinking during watching TV.
Finally, the article mentioned that , TV teaches young people that volence is always the best answer. Even cartoons nowadays are full of blood and violence.
It's interesting what other redears think about this issue.
