The story of Teresa Neumann
Teresa Neumann came from the good German family with catholic roots. When she was twenty she tried to rescue her neighbors while their household was burning. The effect of Teresa’s heroic help was a paralysis of her legs. Next, in other accident she went blind. Teresa was praying to her namesake Therese from Lisieux. A few years later in the day of canonizing her patroness, she unexpectedly regained the use of her legs. That was a miracle! A year later during the Easter she had a vision of Jesus Christ’s agony. From that moment stigmas started turning up to her hands, side and feet. The blood also poured from her eyes and forehead. She looked alike Christ, when He was crucifying. From that moment this occurrence repeated every week: from Thursday evening to Friday afternoon. Teresa wasn’t eating any food and drink beside the saint Host for 36 years. It was unimaginable for a lot of doctors, but they agreed that her stigmas were real and she only ate the Host. The German Nazis didn’t believe her story. They didn’t give her ration cards for food, which got every citizen. She received a double ration for a soap, because they want to wash her body from blood.
