I think that for young people friends and their opinion are more important then family. They don't talk with parents about problems. Parents often have no time for their children. Maybe it's a one of the reason why children choose a friends. It seems to young people want to become a independent. They meet a friends in school, cinema, park... Probably they find a acceptation from people the same age. Young people don't have a similiar problems with their parents so friends are more important for them.
