overdue lesson

Temat przeniesiony do archwium.
To those surrounded by English (preferably native speakers):
Does "overdue lesson" in the literal meaning (i.e. the actual lesson at school that didn't take place) sound ok to you? Doesn't it immediately make you think of a less literal "long overdue lesson", i.e. something important/unpleasant that has been avoided or neglected?

Thanks
'overdue lesson' jest ZLE w sensie ze jej nie bylo, mowi sie 'missed lesson'
Dobrze myslisz, jak chodzi o 'something long overdue'.
