Westminster Abbey - One of the most important Anglican churches. “It has a place the coronation of the kings of England since 1066.”( tutaj mi chodzi o yo że jest od 1066 roku miejscem koronacji królów Anglii) It is also the burial place of kings and deserving people since the eighteenth century.
Big Ben is the name (nie wiem jakiego drugiego słowa brakuje) bell which weighs 14 tons, it is placed on top of the 106 metre high tower. It is considered a symbol of Great Britain. This bell hangs on one of the two towers of London's Parliament
St Paul's Cathedral is one of the most famous Anglican churches( tutaj właśnie chodziło mi o kościół) in the UK and buildings of London. It is located in the heart of the City of London. It is about 220 metre long and about 110 metre wide. Masses are held here only on Sundays and Christmas Day but for participation in the liturgy is charged fee.Inside the cathedral are several notable galleries
London Eye also called the Millennium Wheel- it is the observation wheel (Ferris wheel), it is located in Lambeth in London, on the south bank of the Thames, between the Westminster bridge and Hungerford bridge. The Wheel is high 135 metre and its full rotation takes 30 minutes. On the wheel there are 32 air-conditioned passenger capsules.
Tower Bridge- bascule bridge in London executed by Thames near the Tower of London, from which it takes its name. One of the most famous objects in London. It is built in the Victorian style.
Globe Theatre- is the Theatre in London working in the years 1599-1642, founded by brothers Richard and Cuthbert Burbage. “One of the shareholders was William Shakespeare. There were issued premiere his compositions and art Ben’s Jonson i John’s Webster.” (chodzi mi tutaj o to że William Szekspir był jednym z udziałowców tego teatru. Wystawiane tam były jego premiery utworów i sztuki Bena Jonsona i Hojna Webstera)Actors were only men. The theatre was build in 1599. It burned down in a fire in 1613, the thearte rebuilt it in 1614.
As a result (nie wiem jakiego słowa) Puritans intervention was closed in 1642 and demolished two years later. The building was reconstructed according to the project company Buro Happold and opened in 1997.
Trafalgar Square- it is the square in in the heart of central London with beautiful Nelson's column, fountain and two monuments: James II and George IV. It is located at the former site of the royal stables, commemorating the win of the British Royal Navy in the naval battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
