Hej wszystkim, mam gotową pracę na język pisany ale wolałabym gdyby ktoś rzucił na nią okiem i poprawił mi błędy które się do niej wkradły.
Temat pracy : Describe a well-known landmark in your country and explain why it is famous. (Poland)
It is impossible to list all landmarks in Poland and forget about Wawel Royal Castle which was home to three dynasties of Poland's monarchs. Only few european cities have such a distinct medieval arichitectural layout as Cracow does. It is not a simple task to describe the unique character of the Wafel Hill to those who still have not had the opportunity to visit this landmark. The reason why I choose Wawel Royal Caste is because my Grandmother was born there and always takes me to Cracow and tells history of her childhood.
The Wawel Royal Castle is located on the Wafel Hill on the left bank of the Vistula river in Cracow, at an altitude of 228 metres above sea level. This architectural complex, which covers an area of 7040 m2 consist of many buildings and fortification The largest and best known of these are the Royal Castle and the Wawel Cathedral. Some of Wawel's oldest stone buildings, such as the Rotunda of the Virgin Mary can be dated to 970AD. There are also wooden parts of the complex which date to about the 9th century. The Castle, The Wawel Cathedral with the Sigismund’s Chapel and the famous Sigismund’s Bell are also part of the castle complex
Also, anyone would like the natural beauty of the region. The Wawel Hill seems untouched by the techonological age. One of the most interesting peculiarities of the Wawel Hill is the legendary Dragon’s den, in front of which stands a bronze dragon, belching out real fire. The Vistula is another attitude of this region, the largest River of Poland which flows near the Castle.
The Wawel Royal Castle is of great significance because it was home of the first historical rulers, it is also Polish centres of Christianity. The Cathedral was a place where rulers were crowned, while in the gloomy tombs, kings, national heroes and great Polish people were buried – Zygmunt Stary, Zygmunt August , among others. After the catastrophe in Smoleńsk, in April 2010, the presidential couple Lech Kaczyński and his spouse, Maria were buried here. People visit this place not only beacuse of historiacal reasons, but also because of breathtaking views, quiet surroundings and all buldings which are one and only in Poland.
To sum up, the castle itself has been described as "one of the most fascinating of all European castles” I am shure that you should visit this place if you want to know Polish culure better, and to see one of the most beautiful places in the Word. I was there few Times, but believe me or not I will repeat it because it is the place where you can not find yourself bored.
