Czy można powiedzieć:

I travel by Jeep/elephant.

Z góry dziękuję za odpowiedz.
That's possible; however, you can't use any articles before them in this case - just like it is in your sentence.
czy Jeep to sposób podróżowania?
czy po polsku powiesz "podróż słoniem"?
I suppose it sounds ridiculous to you, mg, but such constructions are used, though seldom. As you know the elephant is used in some parts of the world as a mode of transport and therefore it is possible to say that somebody 'travels by elephant' (we're not talking about the animal itself here). The same goes for the jeep.
>I suppose it sounds ridiculous to you,

I asked two questions.
And I answered to your questions dealing with them as one problem, hence it was 'it' that I used in my explanation, not 'they'.
As you know the elephant is used in some parts of
>the world as a mode of transport and therefore it is possible to say
>that somebody 'travels by elephant' (we're not talking about the
>animal itself here).

Do you know what the asker needs these phrases for? Possible does not always mean appropriate.
Translate the sentences below for yourself and I hope you will understand my point.

Mam dżipa. Pojechałem dżipem do kina.
Mam fiata. Pojechałem fiatem do kina.

I am more inclined to accept "by elephant" as the setting that I imagine he uses in his school composition (?) would most probably by one connected with Africa, or India for that matter. Or perhaps he just wants to prove to his teacher that he knows better. In any case, it is the context that can tell us whether this usage is appropriate. What is my second guess holds and the teacher is you?
Dziekuję za odpowiedzi. Tylko nadal nie dokońca wiem czy można tak powiedzieć. Chodziło mi np o zdanie typu:

When I am in Africa I travel BY Jeep/elephant. Kiedy jestem w Afryce podróżuję Jeepem/na słoniu.

Na zasadzie analogi (travel by car/taxi/tram/train/bike itd)
ja jednak powiedzialbym
in a Jeep
on the back of an elephant, ewentualnie by elephant, ale to drugie naprawdę brzmi egzotycznie, tak jak "jeżdżę słoniem"
Dziekuję.
I'm sorry to post my reply so late. I'd like to sum up my observations - in general, I would recommend you, nieumiałek, use the forms which mg is for. So am I. But I want you to take notice of the fact that the uses 'by elephant/camel' and 'by jeep/landrover' are used, which makes me think that they are possible and correct.
OK. Thanks. :)
