zdanie do przetłumaczenia na polski

nie wiem jak przetłumaczyć te zdanie:

I wish I(teach)... how to use a computer when I was at school.

Gdybym wiedziała jak, to pewnie potrafiłabym uzupenić, a tak to i tego niepotrafie..

I wish I had been taught how to use a computer when I was at school.

a na pewno czasownik 'teach'?
ja bym powiedziala- 'had learned' - zaluje ze nie nauczylam sie jak uzywac komputera kiedy bylam w szkole

ps. Is there a difference between writing "learnt" and "learned"? Which of these words are used more often?

There is no past simple and past participle form in American English like 'learnt', only the regular form 'learned' is used, I'm afraid.

In addition to the above, I guess British speakers usually tend to use the irregular forms of the verbs instead of the regular ones. :-}

I've checked it in Collins Dictionary. It says:
learn (pt, pp learned or learnt)
although I used to say "learned" more often.

I should have written "I'm used to saying", right? :>

I've just found this article http://www.jezyk-angielski.za.pl/artykuly.html and it says:
"It is even recommended to repeat all you have learnt in a class."

However, another sentence says:
"you realize just how much you have learned"

You can use either learnt or learned. learned and learnt are both past tense and past participle so you can say:

I learned / I learnt
I have learned / I have learnt

learned is used in American/Canadian English (but learnt is also understood and some British immigrants do use it).

Both learned and learnt are used in British English fairly equally.

You should probably choose one and stick to it.

And if you use "learned" as an adjectival past participal, it's always "learned", never "learnt", so:

a learned man
learned books

Watch for its pronunciation too as it is not the same as the pronunciation ofr the past participal "learned" where you skip the "e" between "n" and "d".

The final consonant in "learnt" is a "t" and in "learned" a "d".
