jak napisać, że spędziłem wakacje na Mazurach?
I spent my holiday on Mazury (??)
I've spent my holiday on Mazuria.
Masuria.
a po co " `ve spent"? wystarczy spent.
No właśnie też chciałam o to spytać. Wakacje się już skończyły, więc nie mają odniesienia do teraźniejszości.
I spent my holiday IN Masuria.
I spot two options

on
in
co to?????
teraz ja się wypowiem!
merix:d
I think it's 'in' - eg I spent my holidays in/on Poland
Maybe not everyone will know what Mazury is - maybe better ...in the Mazurian district...on the lakes in the ....
what do you think?
people have to THINK in English. Even though we say "na Mazurach" in English is always IN: in Poland, in Ontario, in Warsaw, in Yorkshire, in Alabama, in Silesia. You can spend holiday ON a lake in Masuria or ON a mountain top in Nepal
not sure!!

I come across on and in - I was in the Masurian district/I was on Masuria

sth like that!

We say 'na mazury' hence, we can preasume 'on' should be used.

However, if we meant big areas like 'plac, rynek, ulice as well as Mazury maybe we should use IN

it's my speculation!!:D
