Co to znaczy?

Mam do Was prośbę, bo natknęłam się w podręczniku na 2 rzeczy sprawiające mi kłopot i mam nadzieję, że będziecie tacy kochani ;) i mi pomożecie.
Tak więc:

Nie znalazłam tego w słowniku, a chcę się upewnić - czy "make cheap" znaczy "milczeć", "nie odzywać się" (to wnioskuję z kontekstu)?

Jakie słowo pasuje do każdego z tych 3 zdań? Ja miałam trochę pomysłów, ale zawsze w jednym ze zdań mi coś nie pasowało, więc proszę o to Was.

2. service?

W pierwszym moze chodzic o "making cheap, meaningless talk"
W ostatnim: service charge

Oli, tylko jedno slowo :) więc bedzie "service" :)

No widzisz, nie zalapalam tej malej subtelnej wskazowki o jednym i tym samym slowie. My bad! Service pasuje!
