kilka zwrotow do CV - please, heelp :)

Witam,
Potrzebuje przetlumaczyc kilka zwrotow do CV.. Nie wiem czy sa do tego odpowiedniki w j.angielskim, ale kazda pomoc i opinia sie przyda.. Tak wiec:

- praktyki zawodowe w Koncernie Energetycznym (gdzie KOncern Energetyczny to czesc nazwy wlasnej, wiec nie wiem czy trzeba to tlumaczyc)
- inżynieria komputerowa (nazwa kierunku, wiec tez nie jestem pewna, czy powinno sie to tlumaczyc)

Za wszelka pomoc, wielkie dzieki

computer science to raczej ogolnie... :o)

praktyki zawodowe - moze byc ewentualnie: \"work placement\"

computer service technician - someone who knows the \"innards\" of computers and how to fix them. Technical skills are necessary to become a computer technician and this can be achieved by graduating from certified computer training programs.

That would make a day for any HR manager - I bet they\'d get it framed as a joke...

Computer service technician is not someone who studies computer science / computer engineering / system engineering / system design, etc.

To be a computer technician all you need is some basic skills and maybe the \"A+\" certification.

I believe that the original poster meant something like systems design, which is worlds from the pc technician level.

Whatever pulls their wagons and floats their boats.. Practicum as a practical part of an educational program isn\'t an uncommon word, not in schools at least.

internship:
A period of time spent doing a job as part of becoming qualified to do it. I usually associate this noun with a medical internship when a young doctor spends a long time in the hospital to finish his medical qualifications. It can also relate to criminal justice, psychology and others. Anyway, while being an intern you assume a temporary role as a worker and you need that experience for your academic major. Having said that, internship is a paid position and usually preceeded by practicum.

Practicum -is also a hand on experience but usually unpaid, requires less credits and can be completed in a shorter amount of time.

I think we should use the word \"practicum\" for \"Koncern Energetyczny\".

Well, dogie - pardon me, sir. We\'s hillbillies and we\'s never heard about them fancy words like \"practicum.\"

I reckon, it must be \'cause we ain\'t never went to them fancy schools that y\'all got eductated in.

My nephew, Jethro, who\'s got the biggest brains of all our kin (that rascal got to finish all 6 grades in only 12 years!), once told me that he was fixin\' to commence what they call an internship after he\'s be all done with his schooling.

I reckon, I ought to tell him that he\'d be commencing what they call \"practicum\" \'cause that\'s what them educated folks call internship.
