Keepsake / souvenir

Anyone here kind enough to tell me the difference between "keepsake" and "souvenir"? Provided there is any, of course. :)

souveniris is a thing you buy to remind yourself of holidays,some places which you visited etc.Keepsake is an object that somebody gives you as a "reminder" (of him/her) i hope that difference between those two words is clear for you now.
