cooking

hey girls and ladies! I am a young wife and we have finally settled down (read: we have got a lousy flat in a lousy city - but no parents or aunts around which is fine) - I don't work that much (as I think that workaholism kills and work is generally for loosers ;)) OK, the question is: what nice recepies can you recommend? I like cooking and have nothing against preparing a decent supper for my husband but - you know - he has become bored with spaghetti and tomato soup twice a week. I like beef, chicken and all vegetables so if you have any ideas - go ahead!
I would be grateful for your tips (and baking is included)
Obviously, none of the so-called losers want to answer your question as they're all busy working. BTW, if you're at home all day that must make your husband a LOSER too, as I'm guessing he's working so you can stay at home and make him dinner and supper.
Ala,

I am willing to share with different recipies with U but , but say exactly what U R looking for.
Typically Polish, Chinese or French cuisine?
Cooking is my hobby as well as gardening.
I prepare dinners once or twice a week, the rest is done by my wife.
Yesterday, I decided to prepare a duck with apples. It's quite easy:
1 big duck
1/2 kg apples(juicy)
salt
marjoram
You just put a lot of majroram inside and outside of the duck, salt, and when the duck is stuffed with apples (with the peel !!!), take a big needle, thread and sew it up.
Enjoy your meal!
PS
By the way, do U work? What do U do? I am a lecturer.
hi,

thanks for the recipe! of course I do work and - what's more - I work quite a lot. I am a free lancer and I work as a lecturer (like you). I teach sociology.
besides, I teach children (3,4,5 and 6) English. my working hours are a bit different than most people's so I still have some time to prepare food at home.
now I am writing some sociological stuff and stay at home mostly whole days.

and, by the way, what a lovely husband you are! you can cook! I thought that they cannot do it, just of of the definition! I like French quisine and if you have anything on this topic, I would be grateful.
what kind of lecturer are you?

greetings!
my dear camie,

as you have no sense of humor, I will only quickly answer your lovely letter:

I try to make my life funny and nice so I use something that people call "self-irony".
my husband is a loser, he is a lawyer and works really a lot.
I am a loser as well. I work quite hard.

best regards!
Ala, (your name?)

A lot of males are not bad in the kitchen, but I must admit that I do not know too many.
Tomorrow, I wanna prepare a sweet and sour fish (Chinese cuisine).
1/2 kg sole,
ginger
2 eggs (only white)
1 teaspoon suger
1 teaspoon vodka
1 - " - wine vinegar
1/2 - " - salt
oil
bouillon
parsley to decorate.

Have to go now, I"ll finish in 2 hours.
See U

Z.
...A lot of males are not bad in the kitchen...
Is it almost always assumed that the best cooks are always male, then it seems to follow that their place is in the kitchen.
I've got lots of good recipes but I guess I'm too lazy to type them in here.
Instead I would suggest visiting some thematic websites - one of my favourites is Galeria Potraw - a message board on Gazeta Wyborcza website where lots of people presents recipes and photos of what they've done - a really great site for all those who don't know what to cook:)
A typical sarcastic woman !
Do you want me to tell you where YOUR PLACE is ?
Gustaw4
Don't trouble yourself-I think I know where my place is.
Perhaps it would be better if we could talk about different cuisines by e-mails.
Here is mine: [email]
I do not like reading out-of-place comments of all those females who have not found their places in life, disappointed, narrow-minded, etc.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
